Wenzen and Sherri became members of Eastridge (Lakeside) in 2000 after moving from Lubbock. The welcoming atmosphere and the immediate love shown for our girls made our decision to become part of this church family easy. Their two daughters, Kinsey and Kaylee, are both Texas Tech Red Raiders. Kinsey and son-in-law (2018), Jack Garner were in the Eastridge youth group together.
Wenzen and Sherri were married in Lubbock in 1988. Wenzen is a high school AP chemistry teacher at Highland Park High School. He also coaches their UIL science team. He became a Christian at White River Youth Camp as a teenager and remained involved with the camp and the lives of the young people at the camp for over 20 years. That love of children spurred Wenzen and Sherri to participate in a mission trip to Belize in 2004. This soon became a passion for the Chuangs as they have led teams to Belize every year since 2004. Wenzen has served as a missions deacon and Bible class teacher since 2005.
Sherri is a 3rd grade reading teacher in Wylie. She has a passion for music and began working with LTC choir in 2002 and continues to work with the small group chorus. She assists with the children’s church program, footprints program, and vacation bible school. They enjoy traveling with their family, scuba diving, and snow skiing.

They feel blessed to have had such a wonderful church family surrounding them as they raised two sons and a daughter; Wes, Avery and Audrey. Eastridge has always placed a high emphasis on the support, nurturing and teaching of our youth and families. The Holland’s believe that the friendships they have forged will follow them to eternity; they know the influences of such a strong church has played a significant role in the spiritual development of their family.
Brad loves to study and teach the word and has done so for over 30 years. Because of his engineering background, as a deacon he was primarily involved with the area of facilities and acted as the owner’s representative in the construction of our present facility. Keith and Vickie began worshipping with the congregation now known as Eastridge during the summer of 2001. Part of what drew their family to this church was the welcoming, friendly atmosphere they experienced from the very first visit. They believe that atmosphere has remained even though the church has grown tremendously since then.
Keith was blessed to also serve as the youth minister for Eastridge for several years. They are excited to be currently involved with the young professionals class, which helps them stay connected with many who were in the youth group not so long ago. Vickie is also involved in Cool Kids and enjoys teaching pre-school Bible classes. And, of course, they love their small group meetings, too!
Keith and Vickie have three adult sons (and three daughters-in-law).
