The following utilities are designed to be part of a whole-house approach to keeping inappropriate web-based material out of our homes. This is NOT an exhaustive list. The following list represents the most highly rated solutions. We intentionally excluded any solution that was deemed “easily defeated by computer savvy users.”

• http://x3watch.com (This is a great little app! It monitors web browsing activity and notifies your selected accountability partners. Works on Android, iPhone, iTouch, iPad, PC, & Mac. COST: Free “lite” app; $7.99 for full-featured app)
• http://www.covenanteyes.com (This app monitors all the sites you visit and sends a report to your Accountability Partner. Pricing is quite variable: see website for details. Windows XP, Vista, and 7 and Mac Tiger, Leopard, and Snow Leopard. Mobile solutions are available for iPhone, iPod, and iTouch.)
