Christmas Party...Catch Me if You Can

The Ginger Bread Man was loose at the annual Ladies’ Christmas Party! A great crowd of ladies got the holiday started with a festive party, that was complete with beautiful decorations, yummy soups, and interactive games. The party chairman, Melody Johnson, made sure (even while recuperating from back surgery) that she and her expert party planning elves organized a really fun night for all the Eastridge ladies.

Big thanks to the decorating devas… Everything was just beautiful and it was great knowing that all the Eastridge holiday gatherings would get to enjoy the decorations throughout the season. The kitchen crew also sends a big thanks to all the wonderful Eastridge cooks who shared some of their best salads, desserts, and soups. The ladies at Eastridge know how to cook!

Eastridge Ladies Stir Up Some Memories at Ladies’ Day

This past October, the ladies at Eastridge spent a Saturday afternoon at our annual Ladies’ Day “Stirring Up Our Remembrances,” and concentrating on what is important in our lives. The Ladies’ Day committee, led by Dana Hughes, did an outstanding job helping us focus on the fun, funny, and spiritual things that make being a sister, friend, & wife in Christ important. Leading our thoughts (and leading us in many laughs) were our guest speakers, Darlene Conner and GeeGee Allen. These fun loving ladies not only shared their spiritual wisdom, but serenaded us in song.
Big thanks to the Ladies’ Day committee, our guest speakers, and all the ladies who attended. It was a great day of sisterly encouragement!

Good Times Had at Ladies’ Games Night at Shenaniganz

In November, a fun loving group of ladies gathered at Shenaniganz for the second annual Eastridge Ladies’ Games Night. No professional bowlers were in the group, but a lot of good stories were shared and fun memories were made. In addition to bowling, the ladies also chased each other while playing laser tag and racing go carts.

Our organizers for the night were the master gamers, Shannon Garrett and Julie Moody.

2011 Fall Bazaar and Bake Sale at Christian Care Center

CCC Coordinator, Kay Arthur Shares Excerpt From a Thank You Letter from the CCC Activity Directors.

We want to send this holiday greeting to thank you all for your support of our Women’s Auxiliary Committee efforts this year at Christian Care Center. With your support we were able to provide $1,000’s of dollars to fund activities here on our campus for the residents to enjoy. Whether your support was in the spring with our Fashion Show and Auction, or with our recent Fall Bazaar and Bake Sale – your efforts were greatly appreciated! Everyone went over and beyond making the baked items and decorating them to appeal to our customers. The crafts and merchandise were outstanding and we received many compliments on the bazaar this year. We wanted to send our heartfelt thanks to you all for each and every thing you did to benefit the residents we serve.

We are pleased to let you know that the proceeds from this year’s Fall Bazaar and Bake Sale totaled over $5,000! That is almost double what we made last year! What a blessing these funds are as we plan our activities for 2012 for the residents.

Attention All Ladies
Please join us for a new study beginning on Wednesday night, January 11, in room 110. This is a ten lesson series on subjects that are basic to understanding the teachings of Christ. Topics included are: “The Godhead;” “Sin;” “Righteousness;” “Redemption;” “Atonement;” “Conversion;” “Justification and Sanctification;” “Faith;” “Grace;” and “Love.”
