It happened at a Special Olympics where handicapped children competed with tremendous dedication and enthusiasm. One event was the 220-yard dash. Contestants lined up at the starting line, and at the signal, started running as fast as they could.

January 16 is a special day in my life. If you’ve been around Eastridge for a couple of years, you may remember hearing about it before. If you do remember, you are helping me illustrate the point of my sermon that God gave us the ability to remember and He expects us to use it.

It is often difficult to behave like a Christian especially when someone crosses us. Yet, we are called to live better than those around us. We are taught to love each other and see to one another’s needs. We need to be there to help carry one another’s burden.

Our world has been, and continues to be, impacted by technology. I am told that we even have something called “life clock.” You enter your age and answer a few questions about life-style and before you know it you are holding a report predicting how much longer you have in this life.

You’ve heard the debate before. We don’t really know when Jesus was born and it is doubtful that it was in December. But the fact that God visited this world in the flesh is one of the most significant events in the history of Creation.
